TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT FOR WE GATHERIN LAST LAP STREET PARTY
On Wednesday 31st December 2025, the We Gatherin’ Last Lap Street Party, will be held along the Princess Alice Highway, Bridgetown, St. Michael. As a result, a number of traffic changes will take effect from 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
ROAD CLOSURES
The following road will be closed between the relevant times:
a) Princess Alice Highway from its junction with Mortuary Road (between the Fisherman’s Corner and Immigration buildings) to the traffic lights at Redman Drive and Prescod Boulevard. Only Transport Board buses and PSVs are allowed access.
TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS
a) Traffic travelling along Hinks Street towards the Princess Alice Highway will turn right onto Mortuary Road.
b) Traffic travelling from Prescod Boulevard will be diverted onto Redman Drive.
c) Traffic exiting the Barbados Port Authority will make a left turn onto Prescod Boulevard and continue to the Elsie Payne Roundabout.
NO PARKING
No person shall park their vehicle or allow any vehicle to remain stationary on any of the following roads, except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers:
a) Princess Alice Highway
b) Hinks Street
c) Redman Drive
PARKING
Parking will be provided at the following locations for VIPs and specially invited guests:
a) Parking area to the rear of the Pelican Craft Centre.
b) Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC).
c) Entrance to the Bridgetown Port.
OFFENCES
Any person who contravenes these rules or fails to comply with any order given by a member of The Barbados Police Service in uniform, is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction, to a fine of five hundred dollars ($500BDS) or to imprisonment for a term of three (3) months.
These rules do not apply to vehicles used by The Barbados Police Service, the Barbados Defence Force, the Barbados Fire Service, or any emergency vehicle.
Police Officers will also be deployed on the day, to assist with all traffic management.
