CRIMINAL CHARGES UPDATE – Ricardo Okella Stanford

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (Black Rock), has arrested and formally charged Ricardo Okella Stanford, 54 years of Bank Hall, St. Michael for the following offences:
● Murder – Shanell Smith March 27th 2026
● Arson – March 27th 2026
Stanford appeared before Chief Magistrate (ag) Douglas Frederick in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court on Tuesday 7th April 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Tuesday 5th May 2026.
