TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT – PARADE REHEARSAL FOR THE REOPENING OF PARLIAMENT

On Wednesday, 18th February, 2026, a parade rehearsal for the reopening of parliament, will be held at The Parliament Buildings, Bridgetown, St. Michael. As a result, a number of traffic changes will take effect from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

ROAD CLOSURES
The following roads will be closed between 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm:

a) Upper Broad Street
b) Trafalgar Street
c) Wharf Road
d) Rickett Street

TRAFFIC DELAYS
Expect traffic delays along the following roads:

a) Coleridge Street
b) Magazine Lane
c) Broad Street
d) Bridge Street
e) Roebuck Street
f) Tudor Street

TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS
a) Traffic travelling along lower Broad Street, must turn left at the junction with Prince William Henry Street.
b) Traffic travelling along St. Michaels Row will either make the right onto Marhill Street towards Roebuck Street or the left onto Bridge Street towards Fairchild Street.
c) Traffic travelling along Bay Street onto Lower Fairchild Street before the traffic lights, will continue onto Upper Fairchild Street towards John Beckles Drive.

OFFENCES

Any person who contravenes these rules or fails to comply with any order given by a member of The Barbados Police Service in uniform, is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction, to a fine of five hundred dollars ($500BDS) or to imprisonment for a term of three (3) months.

These rules do not apply to vehicles used by The Barbados Police Service, the Barbados Defence Force, the Barbados Fire Service, or any emergency vehicle.

Police Officers will also be deployed on the day, to assist with all traffic management.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Emergency Response Team (E.R.T) and the Criminal Investigations Department (District ‘A’), have arrested and formally charged L’Shayne Omari Clarke 21 years of 3rd Avenue Skeets Road, Ivy St Michael for the following offences:

(C.I.D District ‘A’) – 2nd Avenue Licorish Village, My Lords Hill, St Michael on Friday, 16th January, 2026
● Wounding with Intent
● Use of Firearm

Hastings Worthings
(Central E.R.T) – Brownes Gap, Sargeant Village, Christ Church on Wednesday, 11th February, 2026
● Possession of Firearm
● Possession of Ammunition – Seventeen (17) rounds

Clarke appeared before Chief Magistrate Deidre Mckenna in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 17th February, 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Tuesday 17th March, 2026 at the District ‘A’ Criminal Court.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (North), have arrested and formally charged Tevin Alijermaine Campbell 20 years of The Belle Main Road, St Michael for the following offences:

WANTED MAN – Robert Ricardo Parris

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) is seeking the assistance of the general public, in locating Robert Ricardo Parris alias “Angry Bird”, who is wanted for questioning in connection with serious criminal matters.

Parris, whose last known address is # 31 Upper Crescent, Christ Church is approximately six feet two inches (6’ 2”) in height, stocky built and has a dark complexion.
Robert Ricardo Parris is advised that he can present himself to the Criminal Investigations Department (South) at the Oistins Police Station, Oistins, Christ Church accompanied by an attorney-at-law of his choice.

Any person, who may know the whereabouts of Robert Ricardo Parris, is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (South) at telephone numbers 418-2608 or 418-2612, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1 800-8477 or the nearest police station.

Members of the public are also reminded that it is a serious offence to harbour or assist wanted persons; any person caught committing this offence can be prosecuted.

IN CUSTODY- Khalil Lavaar Hurley

Khalil Lavaar Hurley 27 years of no fix place of abode, who was the subject of a “Wanted Man” bulletin, issued on Thursday 5th February 2026, in connection with serious criminal matters, is now in police custody.

On Thursday 12th February 2026, he was brought into police custody and is currently assisting police personnel with their investigations.

TRACED GIRL – Alicia Azariah Destiny Wiltshire

Alicia Azariah Destiny Wiltshire, 15 years of Martindale Road, St Michael, who was reported missing on Friday 13th February, 2026, has been traced and is safe.

MISSING GIRL – Alicia Azariah Destiny Wiltshire

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating missing girl Alicia Azariah Destiny Wiltshire, 15 years of Martindale Road, St Michael., a student of the Grantley Adams Secondary School, who was last seen on Wednesday 11th of February, 2026 about 11:00 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:
Wiltshire is about five feet seven inches (5’7”) in height, of a slim build and light brown complexion. She has a round shape head and face, broad forehead, dark brown eyes, small protruding nose, thin lips and puffy cheeks. She has black straightened hair which is pull back in one, with an extension at the top. She also has thin eyebrows. Her ears are pierced once, each having a small gold colour bob with a red stone in the middle. She walks with an erect appearance and was last seen wearing a long black leggings and a yellow t-shirt.

Wiltshire is known to frequent Campaign land, Martidales Road and Denton Road, St. Michael areas.
