CRIMINAL CHARGES UPDATE – Jacobi Tyrike Nicholas Gilkes
The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Major Crime Unit (M.C.U) and Criminal Investigations Department (Hastings Worthings) have arrested and formally charged Jacobi Tyrike Nicholas Gilkes 21 years of #2 Golden Rock, Pinelands, St Michael for the following offences:
● Endangering Life – 2 Counts 16th June, 2025
● Unlawful Use of Firearm – 16th June, 2025
● Murder – Anderson Calderon 16th June, 2025
● Robbery – Jason Chandler 12th September, 2025 of items totalling $14,980.00 Barbados Currency
● Robbery – Andrew Lewis 2nd October, 2025 of item valued at $2500.00 Barbados Currency.
● Serious Bodily Harm – Andrew Lewis 2nd October, 2025
● Unlawful Use of Firearm – 2nd October, 2025
Gilkes appeared before Chief Magistrate Deidre Mckenna in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 18th February, 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Tuesday 17th March, 2026 at the District ‘A’ Traffic Court
