FIREARM AND AMMUNITION SEIZURE – Brownes Gap, Sargeants Village

Members of the Barbados Police Service Tactical Response Unit and the Barbados Defence Force attached to Operation Broken Trident conducted an operation at Brownes Gap, Sargeants Village, Christ Church about 3:00 p.m. on Saturday 24th January 2026.

During the operation two rifles and two pistols along with one hundred rounds of ammunition were found in a bushy area.

Investigations are continuing.

DRUG INVESTIGATIONS – Fishing Vessel 2026-01-29

The Barbados Police Service Narcotics Unit is conducting investigations into the seizure of over 670 kg of cocaine valued at over 33 million Barbados dollars.

The drugs were found on a Barbadian registered fishing vessel which was held off the coast of Barbados around 3:45 am Thursday 29th January 2026 during an operation conducted by the Narcotics Unit and the Barbados Coast Guard.

Three Barbadians who were on board the vessel are now assisting police with their investigations.

UNNATURAL DEATH UPDATE – Eric Joseph Butcher

The Police at Operations Control received a report of gunshots being heard, in the area of the Usain Bolt Sports Complex Car Park, Lazaretto, St. Michael about 11:16 am on Sunday 25th January 2026.

Personnel from the Black Rock Police station responded and discovered the lifeless body of a male in a motor vehicle. A medical doctor visited the scene, examined the body and pronounced death.

The deceased has been identified as Eric Joseph Butcher, 66 years of Phillip Drive, Pine Garden, St. Michael. Investigations are continuing.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Zion Nikiko Jackson

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (Hastings/Worthing), has arrested and formally charged Zion Nikiko Jackson, 18 years of Spooners Hill, St. Michael for the following offences.

  • Robbery – Shaquille Eversley August 23rd 2025
  • Possession of Cannabis – January 24th 2026

Jackson appeared before Magistrate Manila Renee in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court No. 2, on Wednesday 28th January 2026. He pleaded not guilty to the offences and was granted bail to the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00 Bds) Barbados currency with one surety. He is scheduled to reappear on Wednesday 1st July 2026.

WOUNDING WITH INTENT – Jamol Tony Patrick Boyce

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (North), has arrested and formally charged Jamol Tony Patrick Boyce, 30 years of Bourbon Road, St. Lucy for the following offence.

  • Wounding With Intent – Brian Beasley January 22nd 2026

Boyce appeared before Magistrate Wayne Clarke in the Holetown Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 27th January 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offence and was granted bail to the sum of eight thousand dollars ($8,000.00 Bds) Barbados currency with one surety. He is scheduled to reappear on Monday 2nd February 2026.

UNNATURAL DEATH – Denis Cox

Police at the Operations Control received a report of an unnatural death about 8:59 am, on Monday 26th January 2026, which occurred along Upper Collymore Rock, St. Michael.

Initial investigations have shown that a female employee of a business establishment arrived for work, looked through the locked glass doors and observed her male colleague lying motionless inside of the secured building. Emergency services were summoned and personnel from the Barbados Fire Department gained entry. Ambulance personnel examined the body but found no signs of life. A medical doctor subsequently pronounced death.

The deceased has been identified as Denis Cox, 68 years of Paddock Road, St. Michael. Investigations are continuing.

IN CUSTODY – Bunny Livingston Grant

Bunny Livingston Grant, 44 years of Parish Land, Christ Church, who was the subject of a “Person of Interest” bulletin, issued on Thursday 22nd January 2026, in connection with serious criminal matters, is now in police custody.

 

On Sunday 25th January 2026, he was brought into police custody and is currently assisting police personnel with their investigations.

MISSING MAN – Kyle Antonio Callender

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating missing man Kyle Antonio Callender alias ‘Dadas’, 24 years of Robinson Land, St.Philip who was last seen on Thursday 15th January 2026. 

 

DESCRIPTION:

Callender is about six feet (6’ 0″) in height, dark complexion and slim built. He has an oval shaped head with a low haircut, pointed chin, small ears both pierced once, a small nose and thick lips. He also has a tattoo on his left forearm with the name ‘Maureen’. At the time he was wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and a pair of black sneakers. He frequents Nelson Street, Bridgetown, St. Michael and has been known to leave home for prolonged periods.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Kyle Antonio Callender, is asked to contact the District ‘C’ Police Station at 416-8200 or 416-8204, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or any police station.

UNNATURAL DEATH – Jonathan Agnew
Police at Holetown Station are conducting investigations into an unnatural death which occurred at Sandy Lane Estates Beach on Saturday 24th January 2026.
 
Initial investigations have shown that the deceased was in the water, then his relatives realized that he was floating, they entered the water and brought him ashore. Medical assistance was rendered but he succumbed at the scene.
 
A medical doctor visited the scene, examined the body and pronounced death. The deceased has been identified as Jonathan Agnew 84 years an English Visitor who was staying at Sandy Lane Estates, St. James.
 
Investigations are continuing.
NARCOTICS – Chad Roosevelt Elija Chase
The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Narcotics Unit, has arrested and formally charged Chad Roosevelt Elija Chase, 30 years of # 137 6th Ave, West Terrace, St. James for the following offences committed on January 23rd 2026:
● Possession of Cannabis
● Trafficking of Cannabis
● Intent to Supply Cannabis
● Possession of Cocaine
● Trafficking of Cocaine
● Intent to Supply Cocaine
 
The total estimated weight of the suspected Cannabis is 21 grams, with an estimated street value of one hundred and five dollars ($105.00 Bds) Barbados currency. The total estimated weight of the suspected Cocaine is 1.7 grams, with an estimated street value of eighty-five dollars ($85.00 Bds) Barbados currency.
 
 
Chase appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on Saturday 24th January 2026. He pleaded guilty to the offences and was fined two thousand dollars ($2,000.00 Bds) to be paid in two (2) months or be sentenced to three (3) months at the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds).
