FATAL COLLISION – Searles Road and Leadvale Christ Church junction

Police at District B Station are conducting investigations into a collision which occurred about 3:18 p.m. along Searles Road at its junction with Leadvale Christ Church, involving a motorcycle and a motorvan.

Initial investigations have shown that the motorcyclist was traveling towards Lowlands and the motorvan was traveling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred. The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations are continuing.

TRACED MAN – McDonald Archer

McDonald Archer, 61 years of Sion Hill, St. James, who was reported missing on Tuesday 14^th January 2026, has been traced and is safe.

MISSING MAN – McDonald Archer

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating missing man McDonald Archer, 61 years of Sion Hill, St. James, who was last seen about 7:10 am, on Saturday 10^th January 2026.

DESCRIPTION:

McDonald Archer is about five feet eight inches (5’ 8”) in height, dark complexion and medium built. He has a large forehead, brown eyes, large nose, thick lips, short dreadlocks and a black and grey goatee. Archer walks with a limp as a result of a leg injury and uses a cane. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, khaki ¾ pants and a pair of grey slippers.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of McDonald Archer is asked to contact the Holetown Police Station at 419-1700 or 419-1701, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or any police station.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE – Jamar Dennis Rohan Husbands

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigation Department (North), has arrested and formally charged Jamar Dennis Rohan Husbands, 38 years of Bakers St. Peter for the following offence:

• Criminal damage –  Barbados Public Workers Cooperative Credit Union July 22nd 2025

Husbands appeared before Magistrate (ag) Keitha Ellis in the Holetown Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 13th January 2026. He pleaded not guilty to the offence and was granted bail to the sum of thirty five thousand dollars Barbados currency with two (2) sureties. He is scheduled to reappear on Tuesday 10th February 2026.

MURDER – Xzavier Malik Clarke

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigation Department (Central), has arrested and formally charged Xzavier Malik Clarke, 30 years of Marl Hole Road, Halls Road, St. Michael for the following offence:

● Murder – David Leacock November 11th 2025

Clarke appeared before Magistrate Oliver Thomas in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court on Tuesday 13th January 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offence and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Tuesday 10th February 2026.

Selwyn Oneal Chase, 65 years of # 28 Durette Gardens, Gemswick, St. Philip, who was reported missing on Monday 12^th January 2026, has been traced and is safe.

MISSING MAN – Selwyn Oneal Chase

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating missing man Selwyn Oneal Chase, 65 years of # 28 Durette Gardens, Gemswick, St. Philip, who was last seen about 3:30 pm, on Sunday 11^th January 2026.

DESCRIPTION:

Selwyn Chase is about five feet five inches (5’ 5”) in height, dark complexion, slim built with fine features, wrinkled forehead and deep set eyes. He has large ears, thick eyebrows, thin lips, broad nose and low grey hair. He speaks slowly with a Barbadian accent. He was last seen wearing a dark blue polo shirt with a green cap, black track pants and black sneakers. Chase is reported to be suffering from early stages of dementia.

FATAL ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION – President Kennedy Drive, St. Michael

Police at the Operations Control received a report of a fatal collision about 7:15 am, on Friday 9^th January 2026, along President Kennedy Drive, St. Michael.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that a motor vehicle stopped along the roadway and allowed a male passenger to disembark. As the vehicle moved off it was involved in a collision with the same male, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A medical doctor examined the body and pronounced death.

The deceased was identified by a relative as Oswin Webster, 69 years of St. Barnabas, St. Michael. Investigations are continuing.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Livingston Dacosta Brewster, Cashem Kode Lucien and Akeem Emmanuel Chung

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Jerimiah Sellassie Bartlett

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Serious Organized Crime Unit (SOCU), has arrested and formally charged Jerimiah Sellassie Bartlett, 22 years of Block 3A Furnihurst, Deacons Road, St. Michael for the following offences.

• Possession of Firearm – January 3rd 2026

• Possession of Ammunition (7) – January 3rd 2026

Bartlett appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on Wednesday 7th January 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Wednesday 4th February 2026.
