CRIMINAL CHARGES – Jahmali Jahwaun Irell Greenidge

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (District ‘A’), has arrested and formally charged Jahmali Jahwaun Irell Greenidge, 24 years of Lower Bridge Gap, Cave Hill, St. Michael for the following offences committed on March 1st 2026:

 

  • Murder – Nigel Gibbs
  • Serious Bodily Harm – Morgan Nelson
  • Serious Bodily Harm – Raymond Lane

 

 

Greenidge is scheduled to appear in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court on Thursday 12th March 2026.

VIOLENT DISORDER UPDATE – Chapman Street, St. Michael

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Major Crime Unit (MCU) and Criminal Investigations Department (Central), have arrested and formally charged Reschad Damon Decourtney Carrington, 24 years of 3rd Ave New Orleans, St. Michael, Donston McDonald Powlett, 26 years of 6th Ave New Orleans, St. Michael for the following offence, which occurred along Chapman Street, Bridgetown, St. Michael:

 

  • Violent Disorder – 1st March 2026

 

Carrington and Powlett appeared before Magistrate Manila Renee in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court #2, on Tuesday 10th March 2026. They were not required to plead to the indictable offence and were remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). They are scheduled to reappear on Tuesday 7th April 2026..

UNNATRUAL DEATH UPDATE – Hill View Close, Cave Hill, St. Michael

The police at Operations Control received a report about 10:40 am, on Monday 9th March 2026, about a shooting along Hill View Close, Cave Hill, St. Michael.

 

Preliminary investigations revealed that a male along with other persons was sitting outside of a residence, when a brown motor vehicle approached. Two persons disembarked from that vehicle and discharged a number of gunshots striking the male. He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by private motor car, where he succumbed to his injuries.

 

The deceased was identified by a relative as Cheyne Hurley, 43 years of Bristol Road, Cave Hill, St. Michael. Investigations are continuing.

Carrington and Powlett are scheduled to appear in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court, on Tuesday 10th March 2026.

SHOOTING INCIDENT – Deacons Farm St. Michael.

The police Operations Control received a report around 3:28 p.m. on Monday 9th March 2026 about a shooting at Deacons Farm St. Michael.

 

Initial investigations have shown that two men rode through the area on a motorcycle and discharged a number of gunshots injuring two males, one at Farm Road and the other at Deacons Road. Both men were transported by private motorcars to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where they are currently receiving medical attention.

 

Investigations are continuing.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Garrison Savannah, St. Michael

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Hastings/Worthing Police Station, has arrested and formally charged Lisa Olivia Nicholl, 40 years, Ranisa Latonia Codrington, 18 years, Tiphony Michelle Dottin, 31 years, Shanice Akiliah Wharton, 27 years, and two female juveniles, all of Waverley Cot, St. George for the following offences committed at the Garrison Savannah, St. Michael on Saturday 7th March 2026:

  • Causing a Disturbance

 

RANISA CODRINGTON

  • Assaulting a Police Officer in the Execution of her Duty
  • Resisting a Police Officer in the Execution of her Duty

 

Nicholl, Codrington, Dottin, Wharton and the two juveniles, appeared before Magistrate Manila Renee in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court #2, on Monday 9th March 2026. One of the Juveniles pleaded guilty and her matter was transferred to the Juvenile Court for Thursday 12th March 2026. The remaining accused all pleaded not guilty in their matters and are scheduled to reappear on Monday 2nd November 2026, while the second juvenile will appear in the Juvenile Court on Wednesday 18th March 2026.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Dario Oneal Francis

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Narcotics Unit, has arrested and formally charged Dario Oneal Francis 36 years of St. Martins, St. Philip for the following offences committed on March 6th 2026:

 

  • Possession of Cannabis
  • Trafficking of Cannabis
  • Intent to Supply Cannabis
  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Trafficking of Cocaine
  • Intent to Supply Cocaine

 

The total estimated weight of the suspected cannabis is 88 Kilograms, with an estimated street value of four hundred and forty thousand dollars ($440,000.00 Bds) Barbados currency. The total estimated weight of the suspected Cocaine is 1.2 Kilograms, with an estimated street value of sixty thousand dollars ($60,000.00 Bds) Barbados currency.

 

Francis appeared before Magistrate (ag) Bernadeth John in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday 9th March, 2026. He was not required to plead to the offences and was granted bail to the sum of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00 Bds) Barbados currency, with one surety. He is scheduled to reappear on Monday 16th March 2026.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Omar Ricardo Best

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (South), has arrested and formally charged Omar Ricardo Best 33 years of 2nd Avenue Vauxhall Christ Church for the following offences:

 

  • Burglary – Adrian Grant 26th February 2026 – Total value of property stolen: Twenty-two thousand eight hundred and forty dollars ($22,840.00 Bds) Barbados Currency
  • Burglary – Desand Whitehall 27th January 2026 – Total value of property stolen: One hundred and eighty dollars ($180.00 Bds) Barbados currency

 

 

Best appeared before Chief Magistrate Deidre Mckenna in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Friday 6th March, 2026. He was not required to plead to the offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Thursday 2nd April, 2026.

UNNATURAL DEATH UPDATE – Ralph Forde

The police at Black Rock Station received a report about 2:25 a.m. on Monday 9th March 2026 from a female caller of Bridge Gap, Black Rock St. Michael who stated that a male had been stabbed at her residence. Police immediately responded to the area and found the lifeless body of a male inside the house.

Preliminary investigations have shown that there was a dispute between a male and a female and this resulted in the male receiving stab wounds to his body. He succumbed to those injuries at the scene. A medical doctor visited the scene, examined the body and pronounced death.

The deceased has been identified by a relative as Ralph Forde, 88 years of Bridge Gap, Black Rock, St. Michael. A person of interest is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
