UNNATURAL DEATH – Pegwell Boggs, Christ Church.

Police at Oistins Station are conducting investigations into a fatal shooting, which occurred about 1:35 pm on Wednesday 21st January 2026, along Pegwell Boggs, Christ Church.

Initial investigations revealed that a group of persons were gathered in the area when a motor vehicle approached. An occupant of that vehicle exited and discharged a number of gunshots at the gathering before fleeing the scene. One male received injuries and collapsed a short distance away outside of a residence. A medical doctor visited the scene, examined the body and pronounced death. Investigations are continuing.

AGGRAVATED BURGLARY – Dario Tyreke Alleyne

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigation Department (Black Rock), has arrested and formally charged Dario Tyreke Alleyne, 24 years of 2nd Avenue Pickwick Gap, St. Michael for the following offence.

  • Aggravated Burglary – Bhamjees Trading January 14th 2026

The total value of the stolen property is twenty thousand four hundred dollars ($20,400.00 Bds) Barbados currency.

Alleyne appeared before Magistrate (ag) Oliver Thomas in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court on Tuesday 20th January 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offence and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Tuesday 17th February 2026.

POSSESSION OF CANNABIS – Julius Demario Ifill

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Central Police Station, has arrested and formally charged Julius Demario Ifill, 33 years of Richards Land, Bush Hall, Saint Michael for the following offence.

  • Possession of Cannabis Within the Precincts of the Supreme Court – January 19th 2026

The total estimated weight of the suspected cannabis is 7.65 grams, with an estimated street value of fifty dollars ($50.00) Barbados Currency.

 Ifill appeared before Magistrate Oliver Thomas in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court on Tuesday 20th January 2026. He pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined seven hundred dollars ($700.00 Bds) Barbados currency to be paid in one (1) week or be sentenced to thirty (30) days at the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds).

FATAL COLLISION UPDATE – Searles Road and Leadvale Christ Church junction

Police at District ‘B’ Station are conducting investigations into a collision which occurred about 3:18 p.m. along Searles Road at its junction with Leadvale Christ Church, involving a motorcycle and a motor van.

Initial investigations have shown that the motorcyclist was traveling towards Lowlands and the motor van was traveling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred. The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) where he succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased was identified as Edzii Edinboro, 54 years of #40 Coral Cliff, Bottom Bay, St. Philip. Investigations are continuing.

FATAL COLLISION UPDATE – Crane Road St. Philip

The Police at District ‘C’ Station are conducting investigations into a collision which occurred about 3:45 p.m. along Crane Road, St. Philip involving a motor van and a bicyclist.

Preliminary investigations have shown that the cyclist and the motorist were traveling towards Rices when the collision occurred. The cyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The deceased was identified by a relative as Roland Arthur, 30 years of Olive Drive, Crane, St. Philip. Investigations are continuing.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Serious Organized Crime Unit (SOCU), has arrested and formally charged Akym Gentile Pollard, 28 years of Gemswick, St. Philip for the following offences committed on January 16th 2026.

  • Possession of Ammunition (22)

Pollard appeared before Magistrate Bernadeth John in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday 19th January 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Monday 16th February 2026.

WANTED MAN – Turvy Frederick

The Barbados Police Service is seeking the assistance of the general public in locating Turvy Frederick, who is wanted for questioning in connection with serious criminal matters.

Frederick, whose last known address is Barbarees Hill, St. Michael is approximately six feet (6’ 0”) in height, of a dark complexion, slim built and has a plaited hair style.

Turvy Frederick is advised that he can present himself to the Criminal Investigations Department (C.I.D.) at the Black Rock Police Station, accompanied by an attorney-at-law of his choice.

Any person, who may know the whereabouts of Turvy Frederick, is asked to contact the C.I.D. at the Black Rock Police Station at telephone numbers 417-7500 or 417-7505, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1 800-8477 or the nearest police station.

Members of the public are also reminded that it is a serious offence to harbour or assist wanted persons; any person caught committing this offence can be prosecuted.
