CRIMINAL CHARGES – Turvy Frederick

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (Black Rock), have arrested and formally charged Turvy Frederick 28 years of no fix place of abode for the following offences which occurred on Wednesday 14th January, 2026 whilst at Bhamjees Trading:

● Brandishing A Firearm

● Aggravated Burglary

Frederick appeared before Magistrate Manila Renee in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court #2, on Monday, 23rd February 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Monday 23rd March, 2026.

CRIMINAL CHARGES UPDATE – Peter MacFarren Rouse

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Major Crimes Unit (M.C.U) have arrested and formally charged Peter MacFarren Rouse 30 years of Lot 3D2 Scotts Terrace, Grazettes, St. Michael for the following offences:

  • Affray – 3rd January, 2026

 

  • Unlawful Use of Firearm – 3rd January, 2026

 

Rouse appeared before Magistrate Manila Renee in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court #2, on Monday, 23rd February 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Monday 23rd March, 2026.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Peter MacFarren Rouse

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Major Crimes Unit (M.C.U) have arrested and formally charged Peter MacFarren Rouse 30 years of Lot 3D2 Scotts Terrace, Grazettes, St. Michael for the following offences:

  • Affray – 3rd January, 2026
  • Unlawful Use of Firearm – 3rd January, 2026

 

Rouse is scheduled to appear in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court, tomorrow 23rd February 2026.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Khalil Lavaar Hurley

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Departments (Hastings Worthing and District ‘A’), have arrested and formally charged Khalil Lavaar Hurley 27 years of no fix place of abode, for the following offences:

 Hastings Worthings – Worthing Beach, Christ Church

  • Murder – Andre Parris on the 9th January, 2026
  • Unlawful Use of Firearm – 9th January, 2026

 

District ‘A’ – Headley Land, Bank Hall, St. Michael

  • Criminal Damage – Property belonging to Samantha Chassang on the 19th January, 2026
  • Unlawful Use of Firearm – 19th January, 2026

  

Hurley is scheduled to appear in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court, today 21st February 2026.

IN CUSTODY – Dareo Theo Mitchell

Dareo Theo Mitchell of Chelston Garden, Culloden Road, St Michael, who was the subject of a “Wanted Man” bulletin, issued on Wednesday 18h January 2026, in connection with serious criminal matters, is now in police custody.

On Friday 20th February 2026, he presented himself to Oistins Police Station, accompanied by an attorney-at-law and is currently assisting police personnel with their investigations.

WANTED MAN – Jamar Marco Greene

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) is seeking the assistance of the general public, in locating Jamar Marco Greene 34 years, aliases “Blackie”, “Black Crayon and “George”, who is wanted for questioning in connection with serious criminal matters.

Greene, whose last known address is Rock Hall, St Thomas is approximately five feet eight inches (5’ 8”) in height, slim build and brown complexion.

Jamar Marco Greene is advised that he can present himself to the Criminal Investigations Department (North) of the Northern Division, District ‘E’ Police Station, Major Walk, Speightstown, St. Peter, accompanied by an attorney-at-law of his choice.

Any person, who may know the whereabouts of Jamar Marco Greene, is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (North) at telephone numbers 422-0813 or 419-1737, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1 800-8477 or the nearest police station.

Members of the public are also reminded that it is a serious offence to harbour or assist wanted persons; any person caught committing this offence can be prosecuted.

WANTED MAN – Jaheim Canute Collins

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) is seeking the assistance of the general public, in locating Jaheim Canute Collins alias ‘Jam’, who is wanted for questioning in connection with serious criminal matters.

Collins, whose last known address is Silver Sands, Christ Church is approximately five feet eight inches (5’ 8”) in height, slim built and has a brown complexion.

Jaheim Canute Collins is advised that he can present himself to the Criminal Investigations Department (South) at the Oistins Police Station, Oistins, Christ Church accompanied by an attorney-at-law of his choice.

Any person, who may know the whereabouts of Jaheim Canute Collins, is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (South) at telephone numbers 418-2608 or 418-2612, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1 800-8477 or the nearest police station.

Turvy Federick 28 years of no fix place of abode, who was the subject of a “Wanted Man” bulletin, issued on Monday 19th January 2026, in connection with serious criminal matters, is now in police custody.

On Friday 20th February 2026, he was brought into police custody and is currently assisting police personnel with their investigations.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) wishes to thank the general public and the media for their assistance in this matter.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Carlos Robert Jamal Walcott

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU), has arrested and formally charged Carlos Robert Jamal Walcott 36 years of #752 Kingsland

Terrace, Christ Church for the following offences committed on Tuesday, 17th February, 2026 whilst at Kendall Hill, Christ Church:

  • Possession of Firearm
  • Possession of Ammunition – Thirteen (13) rounds

 Walcott appeared before Chief Magistrate Deidre Mckenna in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Friday 20th February, 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Tuesday 17th March, 2026.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT – PARADE FOR THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF PARLIAMENT

On Friday, 20th February, 2026, a parade for the official opening of parliament, will be held at The Parliament Buildings, Bridgetown, St. Michael. As a result, a number of traffic changes will take effect from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm on the day.

 

NO PARKING

There will be no parking along the following roads from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm:

  1. Marhill Street
  2. Rickett Street
  3. High Street
  4. Palmetto Street
  5. Palmetto Square – To its junction to Roebuck Street.

 

ROAD CLOSURES

The following roads will be closed between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm:

  1. Upper Broad Street
  2. Trafalgar Street
  3. Wharf Road
  4. Marhill Street
  5. Palmetto Street
  6. Rickett Street

 

TRAFFIC DELAYS 

Expect traffic delays along the following roads:

  1. Coleridge Street
  2. Magazine Lane
  3. Broad Street
  4. Bridge Street
  5. Roebuck Street
  6. Tudor Street

 

TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS

The following traffic diversions will take effect from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm:

a)     Traffic travelling along lower Broad Street, must turn left at the junction with Prince William Henry Street.

b)    Traffic travelling along St. Michaels Row will turn left onto Bridge Street towards Fairchild Street.

c)     Traffic travelling along Bay Street onto Lower Fairchild Street before the traffic lights, will continue onto Upper Fairchild Street towards John Beckles Drive.

 

OFFENCES

Any person who contravenes these rules or fails to comply with any order given by a member of The Barbados Police Service in uniform, is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction, to a fine of five hundred dollars ($500BDS) or to imprisonment for a term of three (3) months.

 

These rules do not apply to:

a) Vehicles transporting invited guest to the official opening of parliament.

b) Vehicles used by The Barbados Police Service, the Barbados Defence Force, the Barbados Fire Service, or any emergency vehicle.

 

Police Officers will also be deployed on the day, to assist with all traffic management.
