MURDER UPDATE – Malik Isiah Blackman

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (District ‘A’), has arrested and formally charged Malik Isiah Blackman 16 years of 4th Avenue Park Road, Bush Hall, St. Michael for the following offence:

 

  • Murder – Andy Arthur December 21st 2025

 

 

Blackman appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on Friday 2nd January 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offence and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Friday 30th January 2026.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (District ‘A’), has arrested and formally charged Adae Xavier Scott, 17 years of Military Road, Bush Hall, St. Michael for the following offence:

 

  • Murder – Timothy Trotman December 22nd 2025

 

 

Scott appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on Friday 2nd January 2026. He was not required to plead to the indictable offence and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Friday 30th January 2026.

MURDER – Adae Xavier Scott

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (District ‘A’), has arrested and formally charged Adae Xavier Scott, 17 years of Military Road, Bush Hall, St. Michael for the following offence:

Murder – Timothy Trotman December 22nd 2025

 Scott is scheduled to appear in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court on Friday 2nd January 2026.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Nakita Latisha Nathanya Clarke

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Narcotics Unit, has arrested and formally charged Nakita Latisha Nathanya Clarke, 32 years of Lot #31 Appleby, Saint James, for the following offences:

 

  • Trafficking of Cannabis – December 29th 2025
  • Importation of Cannabis – December 29th 2025

 

The total estimated weight of the suspected cannabis is 14.60 Kilograms, with an estimated street value of one hundred and sixteen thousand eight hundred dollars ($116,800.00) Barbados currency.

 

Clarke appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court, on Wednesday 31st December 2025. She pleaded not guilty to the offences and was granted bail to the sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000 Bds) Barbados currency with two sureties. She is scheduled to reappear on Friday 24th April 2026

Whitehall, Nanton and Walcott appeared before Chief Magistrate (ag) Deidre McKenna in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday 31st December 2025. They were not required to plead to the indictable offences and were remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). They are scheduled to reappear on Monday 26th January 2026. The District ‘A’ matters were transferred to the District ‘A’ Criminal Court No.2 for Tuesday 6th January 2026 and the District ‘B’ matters were transferred to the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court for Wednesday 7th January 2026.

UNNATURAL DEATH – Laynes Road, Maxwell, Christ Church
The police at Oistins Station received a call of a body lying in a grassy area at Laynes Road, Maxwell, Christ Church about 12:30 p.m.
 
Police responded and found the lifeless body of a male lying in the grass with blood in the face. A medical doctor visited the scene and pronounced death.
 
The deceased was identified by a relative as Nicholas Narad Eastmond 39 years of Hilton Road, Maxwell, Christ Church.
 
Investigations are continuing.

WE GATHERIN LAST LAP STREET PARTY 2025

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT FOR WE GATHERIN LAST LAP STREET PARTY
On Wednesday 31st December 2025, the We Gatherin’ Last Lap Street Party, will be held along the Princess Alice Highway, Bridgetown, St. Michael. As a result, a number of traffic changes will take effect from 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

ROAD CLOSURES
The following road will be closed between the relevant times:

a) Princess Alice Highway from its junction with Mortuary Road (between the Fisherman’s Corner and Immigration buildings) to the traffic lights at Redman Drive and Prescod Boulevard. Only Transport Board buses and PSVs are allowed access.

TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS
a) Traffic travelling along Hinks Street towards the Princess Alice Highway will turn right onto Mortuary Road.
b) Traffic travelling from Prescod Boulevard will be diverted onto Redman Drive.
c) Traffic exiting the Barbados Port Authority will make a left turn onto Prescod Boulevard and continue to the Elsie Payne Roundabout.

NO PARKING
No person shall park their vehicle or allow any vehicle to remain stationary on any of the following roads, except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers:
a) Princess Alice Highway
b) Hinks Street
c) Redman Drive

PARKING
Parking will be provided at the following locations for VIPs and specially invited guests:

a) Parking area to the rear of the Pelican Craft Centre.
b) Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC).
c) Entrance to the Bridgetown Port.

OFFENCES

Any person who contravenes these rules or fails to comply with any order given by a member of The Barbados Police Service in uniform, is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction, to a fine of five hundred dollars ($500BDS) or to imprisonment for a term of three (3) months.

These rules do not apply to vehicles used by The Barbados Police Service, the Barbados Defence Force, the Barbados Fire Service, or any emergency vehicle.
Police Officers will also be deployed on the day, to assist with all traffic management.

The Barbados Police Service thanks the members of the general public for their understanding and cooperation in this matter and apologises for any inconvenience these traffic changes may cause.

SHOOTING INCIDENT – Black Road, St. Michael

The police at Black Rock Station, are conducting investigations into a shooting which occurred along Black Rock, St. Michael, on Wednesday 31st December 2025 about 11:10 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
Initial investigations have shown that a male and a female were on the premises of a business establishment, when they were approached by an assailant brandishing a firearm. He robbed the female of her property and discharged the firearm causing injury to the male, before fleeing the area. Ambulance personnel treated the victim at the scene.
Investigations are continuing into this matter.

STABBING INCIDENT – Lower Broad Street

The police at Central Station are conducting investigations into a stabbing, which occurred along lower Broad Street, Bridgetown, St. Michael, on Tuesday 30th December 2025, about 3:25 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
Initial investigations have shown that there was altercation involving two males, resulting in one of the males receiving a number of wounds about his body.

Ambulance personnel responded to the area, the victim was treated and transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical attention.

A person of interest is assisting police with their investigations.
