The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (Central), has arrested and formally charged Chad Widmark Cox, 32 years of Drax Hall Hope, St. George, for the following offence:
● Wounding – Orvid Wilkinson November 27th 2025
Cox appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court No. 1, on Tuesday 2nd December 2025. He pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to six (6) months at the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds).

Clarke appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court No. 1, on Tuesday 2nd December 2025. He pleaded not guilty to the offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Monday 15th December 2025.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (South), has arrested and formally charged Demario David Michael Williams, 16 years of Eastlyne, St. George, for the following offences committed on November 27th 2025:
● Use of Firearm
● Endangering Life – Akiel Jackson
● Endangering Life – Sachin Etwaroo
● Endangering Life – Chad Bynoe
● Endangering Life – Brandon Devonish
● Criminal Damage – Janelle Russell
● Criminal Damage – Patel Puckerin
Williams appeared before Magistrate Angela Knight in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court, on Tuesday 2nd December 2025. He was not required to plead to the offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). The matter was transferred to the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court, for Thursday 4th December 2025
SHOOTING INCIDENT – Maxwell, Christ Church
The police at Oistins Station, are conducting investigations into a shooting, which occurred along Maxwell, Christ Church, on Monday 1st December 2025, about 11:40pm.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
Initial investigations have shown that a male had arrived at his residence, when he was confronted by an assailant with a firearm. A number of gunshots were discharged injuring him.
He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private motor car, where he is currently receiving medical treatment. Investigations are continuing into this matter.

UNNATURAL DEATH – Damon Corbin
The Police at District ‘C’ Station, are conducting investigations into an unnatural death, which occurred along Work Hall, St. Philip, on Saturday 29th November 2025, about 7:15 pm.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
Initial investigations have shown, that a male was involved in a dispute at a residence, where he received injuries. He subsequently left the residence but collapsed a short distance away. Ambulance personnel responded and examined the body but found no signs of life.
A medical doctor visited the scene and pronounced death. The body was identified by a relative as Damon Corbin, 30 years of Work Hall, St. Philip. Investigations are continuing.

SHOOTING INCIDENT – Vauxhall, Christ Church
The police at Oistins Station, are conducting investigations into a shooting, which occurred along Vauxhall, Christ Church, on Saturday 29th November 2025 about 8:20pm.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
Initial investigations have shown that a group of persons were gathered outside of a residence, when some person approached the gathering and discharged a number of gunshots, injuring two juveniles. The victims were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private motor car, where they are receiving medical treatment.
Investigations are continuing into this matter.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT FOR THE INDEPENDENCE CEREMONIAL PARADE 2025
On Sunday 30th November 2025, the Independence Ceremonial Parade and President Installation Ceremony, will be held at Kensington Oval, President Kennedy Drive, St. Michael. As a result, a number of traffic changes will take effect from 5:00 am to 2:30 pm.
ROAD CLOSURES
The following roads shall be closed to all vehicular traffic between the relevant times:
a) Fontabelle Road from its junction with Lakes Folly and Redman Drive, to its junction with President Kennedy Drive and Holborn Circle.
b) President Kennedy Drive from its junction with Westbury Road to its junction with Holborn Circle. (With the exception of PSVs)
TRAFFIC DELAYS
As the parade progresses, expect traffic delays along the following roads:
a) Fontabelle Road
b) Cheapside Road
c) Chapel Street
d) Prince Alfred Street
e) Broad Street
f) Trafalgar Street
g) Bridge Street

OFFENCES
Any person who contravenes these rules or fails to comply with any order given by a member of The Barbados Police Service in uniform, is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction, to a fine of five hundred dollars ($500BDS) or to imprisonment for a term of three (3) months.
These rules do not apply to vehicles used by The Barbados Police Service, the Barbados Defence Force, the Barbados Fire Service, or any emergency vehicle.
Police Officers will also be deployed on the day, to assist with all traffic management.
