UNNATURAL DEATH – Andy Rudolph Arthur
The Police at Operations Control received a report of an unnatural death, which occurred along 3rd Ave Station Hill, St. Michael on Sunday 21st December 2025 about 2:30 pm.
 
CIRCUMSTANCES:
 
Initial investigations have revealed that there was an altercation outside of a business establishment in the area, resulting in a 39 year old male receiving injuries and collapsing. Ambulance personnel responded to the area and examined the body, however, no sign of life was found. A medical doctor visited the scene and pronounced death.
 
The deceased has been identified by a relative as Andy Rudolph Arthur, 39 years of Goddings Road, St. Michael.
 
Investigations are continuing.

Missing Man – Sylvester Bertie Cumberbatch

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating missing man Sylvester Bertie Cumberbatch, 51 years of St. Stephen’s Hill, St. Michael, who was last seen on Saturday 20th of December 2025, about 3:45 a.m. at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).

DESCRIPTION:

Cumberbatch is about five feet nine inches (5’ 9”) in height, dark complexion, slim built, full eyes, with a black and grey moustache and goatee. At the time he was wearing a yellow and blue shirt along with navy blue short pants. He speaks with a slight slur and also has a catheter installed.

Cumberbatch suffers from a heart condition and is known to frequent the area of Westbury, St. Michael.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Sylvester Bertie Cumberbatch, is asked to contact Central Police Station at 430-7676 or 430-7630, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or any police station.

WANTED MAN – Anthony Julian Bishop

The Barbados Police Service is seeking the assistance of the general public in locating Anthony Julian Bishop, who is wanted for questioning in connection with serious criminal matters.

 

Anthony Bishop, whose last known address is Chapman Village, St. Thomas is approximately five feet seven inches (5’ 7”) in height, brown complexion, slim built with a rectangular shaped tattoo under his left eye and the letters ‘MOB’ tattooed on his right wrist.

 

Anthony Julian Bishop is advised that he can present himself to the Criminal Investigations Department (Central), Pinfold Street, Bridgetown, St. Michael, accompanied by an attorney-at-law of his choice.

 

Any person who may know the whereabouts of Anthony Julian Bishop, is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (Central) at telephone numbers 430-7189 or 430-7190, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1 800-8477 or the nearest police station.

 

Members of the public are also reminded that it is a serious offence to harbour or assist wanted persons; any person caught committing this offence can be prosecuted.

Public Notice Accreditation 2026

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) is Internationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

As an accredited Service, we undergo an annual web-based assessment by CALEA, this is scheduled to commence April 10-18, 2026.

To facilitate this process, members of the public will be given the opportunity to provide comments, commendations and any other relevant information regarding the quality of service and the performance of TBPS.

IN CUSTODY – Nico Cyril Alexander Norville

Nico Cyril Alexander Norville, of Josey Hill, St. Lucy, who was the subject of a “Wanted Man” bulletin, issued on Friday 12th July 2024, in connection with serious criminal matters, is now in police custody.

On Tuesday 16th December 2025, he was brought into police custody and is currently assisting police personnel with their investigations.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (North), has arrested and formally charged Marc Anderson Francis, 39 years of Yearwood Road, Mount Standfast, St. James, Junior Maynard 19 years of The Garden, St. James and Damario Javon Francis 19 years of Sion Hill, St. James for the following offences:

 Francis, Maynard and Francis appeared before Magistrate Wayne Clarke in the Holetown Magistrate Court, on Tuesday 16th December 2025. They were not required to plead to the indictable offences and were remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). They are scheduled to reappear on Tuesday 13th January 2026.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Denson Emroy Bailey

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Narcotics Unit, has arrested and formally charged Denson Emroy Bailey, 53 years of #24, Tamarind Avenue, Culloden Road, St. Michael, for the following offences:

● Trafficking of Cannabis – December 11th 2025
● Importation of Cannabis – December 11th 2025

The total estimated weight of the suspected cannabis is 3.1 Kilograms, with an estimated street value of twenty-four thousand eight hundred dollars ($24, 800.00 Bds) Barbados currency.

Bailey appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court No. 1, on Friday 12th December 2025. He pleaded guilty to the offences and was fined six thousand dollars ($6,000.00 Bds) Barbados currency

WANTED MAN – Ishmael Orlando Cupid

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) is seeking the assistance of the general public in locating Ishmael Orlando Cupid who is wanted for questioning in connection with serious criminal matters.

Ishmael Orlando Cupid, whose last known addresses are Merriville Apartments, Rockley Terrace, Christ Church and Harmony Lodge, St. Martins, St. Philip is approximately six feet (6’ 0”) in height, brown complexion, is slim built and has a plaited hairstyle.
Ishmael Orlando Cupid is advised that he can present himself to the Serious Organized Crime Unit (SOCU) at the District ‘E’ Police Station, Major Walk, Speightstown, St. Peter accompanied by an attorney-at-law of his choice.
Any person, who may know the whereabouts of Ishmael Orlando Cupid, is asked to contact the Serious Organized Crime Unit at telephone numbers 422-0813 or 419-1737, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1 800-8477 or the nearest police station.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU), has arrested and formally charged John Mitchell Cozier, 66 years of Niles Road, Eagle Hall, St. Michael, for the following offences:

● Possession of Firearm – December 10th 2025
● Possession of Ammunition (15) – December 10th 2025

Cozier appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court No.1, on Thursday 11th December 2025. He was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Thursday 8th January 2026.

CRIMINAL CHARGES – Shanece Alicia Atkinson

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Narcotics Unit, has arrested and formally charged Shanece Alicia Atkinson 32 years of Charnocks Land, Charnocks, Christ Church, for the following offences committed on December 8th 2025:

● Possession of Cannabis
● Trafficking of Cannabis
● Intent to Supply Cannabis
● Importation of Cannabis

The total estimated weight of the suspected cannabis is 2.5 Kilograms, with an estimated street value of forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00 Bds) Barbados currency.

Atkinson appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday 10th December 2025. She pleaded not guilty to the offences and was granted bail to the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00 Bds) Barbados currency, with one surety. She is scheduled to reappear on Thursday 12th March 2026.
