PUBLIC NOTICE – SCAMMER ALERT
It has been drawn to the attention of the Barbados Police Service that there is a notice circulating purporting to be a Final Notice of Administrative Penalty for Traffic Violations. It states that a violation record has been officially verified and entered into the Barbados Police Force database and is asking persons to log in and settle payment online.
Please note that this is not an official notice and at no time will the Barbados Police Service send any request in relation to the payment of money. A full and thorough investigation into this matter will be conducted.
WANTED MAN – Shane Anthony Greene
The Barbados Police Service is seeking the assistance of the general public in locating Shane Anthony Greene alias ‘Thuggy or Shaney Poo’ who is wanted for questioning in connection with serious criminal matters.
Greene, whose last known address is Ashby Land, Lodge Road, Christ Church, is approximately five feet ten inches (5’ 10”) in height, dark complexion and slim built. He has a tattoo of the word ‘Thug’ on his right hand and the word ‘Faith’ with an image of birds on his left hand.
Shane Anthony Greene is advised that he can present himself to the Criminal Investigations Department at the Oistins Police Station, accompanied by an attorney-at-law of his choice.
Any person, who may know the whereabouts of Shane Anthony Greene is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at the Oistins Police Station, Oistins, Christ Church at telephone numbers 418-2609 or 418-2612, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1 800-8477 or the nearest police station.
Members of the public are also reminded that it is a serious offence to harbour or assist wanted persons; any person caught committing this offence can be prosecuted.
CRIMINAL CHARGES – Justin Jamar Maynard
The Barbados Police Service (TBPS), Holetown Police Station, has arrested and formally charged Justin Jamar Maynard, 27 years, Block 7C, Haynesville St. James for the following offences:
- Wounding – May 19th 2026
- Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm – May 19th 2026
- Assault – May 19th 2026
Maynard appeared before Magistrate Cuffy Sargeant in the Holetown Magistrates’ Court on Friday 22nd May 2026. He pleaded guilty to the offences and was fined five thousand dollars ($5,000.00 Bds) Barbados currency to be paid in one month. He is scheduled to reappear on Thursday 18th June 2026.
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT – Chefette Fun Run
The annual Chefette Fun Run will be held on Sunday 24th May 2026, commencing at Chefette Rockley, Christ Church and concluding at Chefette Prescod Boulevard (Harbour Road), St. Michael. As a result, a number of traffic changes will take effect from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
ROAD CLOSEURS
On the relevant date from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm Highway 7 will be closed from its junction with Balmoral Gap (Hotel Indigo) to the area of Chefette Rockley.
TRAFFIC DELAYS
On the relevant date from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm motorist travelling on the following roads should expect traffic delays:
- Hastings Road
- Bay Street
- Chamberlain Bridge
- Wharf Road
- Hincks Street
- Princess Alice Highway
- Prescod Boulevard
NO PARKING
On the relevant date from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm no person shall park or allow their vehicle to remain stationary on any of the earlier mentioned roads.
OFFENCES
Any person who contravenes these rules or fails to comply with any order given by a member of The Barbados Police Service in uniform, is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction, to a fine of five hundred dollars ($500BDS) or to imprisonment for a term of three (3) months.
These rules do not apply to vehicles used by The Barbados Police Service, the Barbados Defence Force, and the Barbados Fire Service, or any emergency vehicle.
Police Officers will also be deployed on the day, to assist with all traffic management.

CRIMINAL CHARGES UPDATE – Marvin Selwyn Walcott
The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU), has arrested and formally charged Marvin Selwyn Walcott, 50 years of Bamboo Road, St. Lawrence, Christ Church for the following offences committed on May 15th 2026:
- Possession of Cannabis
- Trafficking of Cannabis
- Intent to Supply Cannabis
The total estimated weight of the suspected Cannabis is 78 Kilograms with an estimated street value of three hundred and twelve thousand dollars ($312,000.00 Bds) Barbados Currency.
Walcott appeared before Magistrate Bernadeth John in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court on Friday 22nd May 2026. He was not allowed to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to reappear on Friday 29th May 2026.
CRIMINAL CHARGES – Akeem Deshawn Carter
The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (South), has arrested and formally charged Akeem Deshawn Carter, 28 years of Bartletts Tenantry, Sargeant Village, Christ Church for the following offence:
- Robbery – April 14th 2026 Total valued of stolen property – $20,000.00 Bds
Carter appeared before Magistrate (ag) Gayle Scott in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Friday 22nd May 2026. He was not allowed to plead to the indictable offence and was granted bail to the sum of seven thousand dollars ($7,000.00 Bds) Barbados currency, with one (1) surety. He is scheduled to reappear on Thursday 6th August 2026.

UNNATURAL DEATH – Andre Sylvester Maynard
The Police Operations Control received a report about 2:50 pm of a stabbing incident at Haynesville, St. James on Tuesday 19th May 2026.
CIRCUMSTANCES:
Police personnel responded and discovered the body of a male lying motionless in the area. Ambulance personnel visited the scene, examined the body and discovered no signs of life. Initial investigations have shown that there was a dispute in the area between two males, resulting in one receiving a stab wound and succumbing to his injuries. A medical doctor visited the scene, examined the body and pronounced death. A person of interest is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
The deceased has been identified by a relative as Andre Sylvester Maynard, 38 years of Redmans Village, St Thomas.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) and Tactical Response Unit (TRU), have arrested and formally charged Deron Akoya Daisley, 28 years of Gemswick, St. Phillip for the following offences:
DISTRICT ‘C’
- Possession of Firearm – May 12th 2026
- Possession of Ammunition (7 rounds) – May 12th 2026
DISTRICT ‘A’
- Handling Stolen Property – Between 8th and 13th February 2025
Dailey appeared before Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court #1, on Monday 18th May 2026. He was not allowed to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds). He is scheduled to appear in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday 15th June 2026.
IN CUSTODY – Troy Barry O’Neal Wiltshire
Troy Barry O’Neal Wiltshire , who was the subject of a “Wanted Man” bulletin, issued on Wednesday, 12th February 2025, in connection with serious criminal matters, is now in police custody.
On Tuesday 19th May 2026, he was brought into police custody and is currently assisting police personnel with their investigations.
